In the beginning, the Old Gods reigned. So great was humankind's love for them that one dared to make them a part of her flesh forever. She devoured the sun itself and, descending from that empty heaven, inspired her knights to decimate all those that remained. Centuries later, they stand, the only hope against the rising Coven's darkness.

Ancient Freljordian legends speak of spirit walkers consumed by the true spirit of the unrelenting bear—a force older than the Freljord itself. Those who dare to invoke its name cannot fathom the terrible, primal power they call down upon themselves.

Deep within the Elderwood, ancient beings lie in wait, hidden from man. They protect the enchanted forest, punishing trespassers and inspiring tales across the land. However, as horrors of the outside world spread, the defenders struggle to maintain their strongholds against humanity's malicious curiosity.

Old God Nocturne

The great corpses of the Old Gods fed the land, and in time even the Elderwood would come to grow over their putrid rot–hiding it, perhaps, for a time. But the Gods never truly died and, with the resurgence of the Coven, one has risen again–Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare.

Coven Syndra

This chroma was released as a Loot exclusive in the Worlds 2023 event.

They came to Syndra in a thundering flutter of carrion wings, beckoning her to free herself from the limitations of mortals. Following the wings' foul wind to a ritual site, she along with another witch awakened the Horned King from his putrid tomb. She now seeks retribution against all who stand against the Coven or the Old Gods.
